We really don't want to acknowledge this but we guess we have to. The 2023 Atlantic hurricane season will start next week with the official start set for Thursday, June 1st, 2023.

If you are from Southwest Louisiana, the word hurricane sends chills down your spine. No one in the Southwest Louisiana area wants to even think of the possibility of another hurricane coming to our area.

There are still people still recovering from Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020. We know people in Southwest Louisiana who still are not back in their homes almost three years later. On top of that, over the past year, a lot of locally owned businesses have just opened back up two years after the storms.

With that being said, we don't want any type of storm coming our way. Unfortunately, though, hurricane season is coming whether we like it or not!
