Missouri has needed rain for much of 2023 as much of the state has experienced extreme drought conditions. The good news is that it's rained in Missouri over the past week with some areas seeing up to 10 inches in just a 7 day period.
Many of us have talked about how we need rain in Missouri and Illinois. Perhaps in the future we should be careful what we wish for as 3 different areas were hammered with more than 6 inches of moisture which caused lots of flooding.
As with all large bodies of water, some crazy things are known to happen. Obviously, in the oceans, lunar movements, and gravitational pull affect the high and low tides. We discussed if this was something that happens with the Great Lakes before.
Mother Nature has shown her fury all across New York. States of Emergency have been declared in several counties, including Long Lake where roads and homes are no more.
