See the Damage Hurricane-Force Winds Did to Shreveport, Louisiana
Shreveport and Bossier got slammed by a major storm that blew threw the area around 1:30 Friday morning. Units from the Shreveport Police, Caddo Parish Sheriff's Department, Shreveport Fire Department, among others are stretched to the limit with emergency calls all morning.
Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux declared a Weather Emergency condition for the city of Shreveport early Friday morning. As of this writing, Swepco is reporting more than 230,000 customers without power.
The Shreveport Times reporting that wind speeds reached up to 80 mph. Sustained winds over 75 mph equal hurricane-strength.

- Use a generator, but ONLY outdoors and away from windows.
