It's wildfire season and the PNW is definitely seeing and feeling it. Fire danger is high in Washington state and Oregon.

There's nothing like heading to Oregon during the summer to experience the scenic beauty and coastal getaways, but three of Oregon's most laidback cities are now on extreme heat advisory alerts as they brace for potentially dangerous weather temperatures reaching over 100 degrees this week.

Some of the most spectacular weather events I’ve ever witnessed were during the summertime in Arkansas. My mother’s family lives there, and many family vacations were spent visiting relatives and enjoying the natural beauties that the state offers. When I saw the below videos, I was reminded of all those incredible memories!

In the spring of 1948 heavy rain and warm temperatures created a massive snowpack runoff which put enormous pressure on the Columbia River and surrounding tributaries. The Tri-Cities flooded and one Oregon town was completely wiped out.
